Mobile Plugin for Drupal is an open-source community project initiated by Forum Nokia. It improves the display quality and browsing experience of Drupal sites on mobile devices.

Drupal CMS has become a preferred platform for content management and web creation, and now with Mobile Plugin, Drupal sites are just as at home on mobile devices as on a desktop.

The plug-in installs in a few simple steps and is ready to run on any mobile device. But it is also completely configurable to get the best performance out of particular devices. User devices are detected automatically with WURFL, allowing custom configuration to target specific device groups. Device detection can also be overridden by configurable domain names or user selection.

The download includes a simple mobile-optimized theme that is easy to modify and has its own documentation. Further themes, modules and extensions are also available, and more will be created as the plug-in catches on and evolves among the open-source community.
